Is the Golserhof a quiet hotel?
Yes, our hotel is designed for guests seeking relaxation, tranquility and a personal atmosphere.

What type of guests is the Golserhof best suited for?
For couples, connoisseurs and active guests who wish to combine hiking, wellness and good food in a small and personal setting.

Are children and teenagers welcome?
Children are welcome at our hotel, as we are a house for all generations. However, the Golserhof does not have a playroom, only a swing and an outdoor table tennis table. Our village also offers a beautiful children’s playground and many interesting themed walking trails.

Are dogs allowed at Hotel Golserhof?
Your dog is very welcome to spend the holiday with you. For the additional cleaning effort, we charge a daily fee (excluding food) of €14.00 (up to 12 kg), €18.00 (12–25 kg) or €25.00 (25–35 kg) per dog.
We kindly ask for your understanding that dogs are not allowed in the dining room and on the terrace during meal times, nor in the pool and wellness areas. We also ask you not to allow your dog on furniture such as beds, sofas or armchairs.
You are welcome to relax together with your dog in our garden above the hotel – sun loungers and umbrellas are available.
A dog sitter can be arranged on request.
Other pets are not permitted.

Are there any specific rules for guests with dogs?
We are happy to inform you in advance about all details so that your four-legged companion can also feel comfortable with us.

Are guided hikes offered at the hotel?
Hotel Golserhof offers 4 guided tours per week (Monday to Thursday). In addition, the local tourism association offers a sunrise hike, a twilight walk, a wildlife tracking experience with hunters, and many other highlights.

Can you start hiking directly from the hotel?
The hotel is an ideal starting point for hikes as well as bike tours. Various hiking and cycling routes can be accessed directly from the hotel.

What difficulty levels do the hiking routes in the surrounding area have?
In Dorf Tirol, you will find easy walking paths (e.g. the Falkner Promenade and the Tappeiner Path), leisurely hiking trails (e.g. the Apple Trail, Wine Trail, Forest Trail, Panorama Trail, Herrschaft Trail, and Cultural Trail), as well as high-alpine routes (e.g. the Merano High Mountain Trail around the Texel Group Nature Park, the Spronser Lakes tours, and Mutspitze).

How can I get hiking tips?
Individual and personal: for all guests who prefer to hike on their own, we – Hiltrud and Patrick – are happy to put together tailor-made tours.
We also provide a special hiking map featuring the 20 most interesting tours in the area, created by Patrick Mair.

Does the hotel offer rental bikes or other outdoor equipment?
The hotel offers e-bike rental (for a small fee) and mountain bike rental (free of charge). In addition, hiking equipment is available to borrow free of charge, such as backpacks, aluminum water bottles, trekking poles, and more.

Is there a gym in the hotel?
Whether cardio or strength training: in our bright fitness room you can work out using top-quality equipment personally selected by host Patrick Mair from Technogym, Matrix, Nautilus & Vision. Treadmill, bike, rowing machine, multi-gym, dumbbells, Smith machine, and a functional training area – everything you need for your personal workout.

How can I get cycling tour tips?
Individual and personal: for all guests who prefer biking on their own, we – Hiltrud and Patrick – are happy to put together tailor-made routes.
We also have a special cycling map with the 30 most interesting tours in the area. This is available at the reception.

Is there a bicycle storage area?
Our guests benefit from a locked, covered bicycle storage area. It is located on the ground floor, and charging points for e-bikes are available.

Are there horse riding opportunities nearby?
There are several riding stables in the Merano region.

How can I get climbing equipment?
In Dorf Tirol, at “Tirol Sport”, climbing equipment can be rented.

I am a teenager – what can I do here?
Paragliding, zip-lining, rafting, canyoning, tarzaning, via ferratas, river tubing, eco quads… all of this is available in the Merano region.

Can I go fishing near the hotel?
There are several options to purchase a day ticket with a fishing license. There are also ponds where fishing is possible with a day ticket without a license.

How many pools does the hotel have?
The hotel features an indoor pool with massage jets (32°C), a heated panoramic pool (approx. 30°C, from early March to mid-November), and a rooftop terrace with several hot whirlpools (37°C).

Is there a sauna area?
Our wellness area “Realm of the Senses” covers approx. 400 m² and includes a Finnish sauna, bio sauna, saline steam bath, and an infrared cabin with salt (admission from 14 years). There is also an outdoor sauna area with a plunge pool and hot whirlpool, as well as two relaxation rooms: “Chillout” and “Deep Silence”.

Is the wellness area included in the price?
Yes, our “Realm of the Senses” as well as the heated infinity pool are available to you free of charge.

From what age is the wellness area accessible?
The sauna area and the rooftop terrace are reserved for guests aged 14 and above.

What makes the wellness area at Golserhof special?
The combination of tranquillity, panoramic views, and personal space – with plenty of room to retreat and relax.

Are there enough loungers indoors?
We offer sufficient loungers in the indoor pool area and in the sauna area.

Are there enough loungers outdoors?
We offer many individual niches at the panoramic outdoor pool as well as on the rooftop with canopy beds and cosy nest areas.

Should I book massages in advance?

Does the hotel also offer sauna infusions?
We offer sauna infusions and steam bath scrubs three times per week.

Is there a restaurant and a bar in the hotel, and what kind of cuisine is offered?
Yes, the hotel has its own bar as well as a restaurant.
The Golserhof cuisine is considered a culinary meeting point: South Tyrol, Italy, and the world. The best ingredients grow practically right on our doorstep. From these, the Golserhof kitchen team creates refined dishes with great sensitivity: inspired by local traditions, with a Mediterranean touch, and reinterpreted in a modern way.

Where do our guests enjoy their meals?

At Golserhof, you can expect a stylish restaurant with a special atmosphere.
As soon as temperatures allow, guests enjoy their meals on the Mediterranean panoramic terrace. Breakfast outdoors is often possible from March through November, while dinner under the open sky is usually served from May to September. In line with the style of Golserhof, smart-casual attire is appreciated. We kindly ask gentlemen to wear long trousers for dinner.

Can special dietary or nutritional requirements be taken into account?

Every day, the hotel restaurant offers menus for meat and fish lovers as well as vegetarians. Guests with allergies (coeliac disease, lactose intolerance, histamine intolerance, etc.) can compose their meals from the daily menu or our à la carte selection. Our service and kitchen team is happy to assist you. For special dietary requirements, we kindly ask you to inform us at the time of booking.

Are there special menus for vegans?

If you follow a vegan diet, you are welcome to book a stay including breakfast. Each morning you may choose your meal from our “vegan à la carte” selection.

Can I also book just breakfast?
You can also book your stay with breakfast only. You may decide from day to day whether you would like to join dinner. On the days you dine with us, the afternoon snack is also included.

What does being a Vitalpina hotel mean for my stay?

What are the cancellation policies?
From the 28th day prior to arrival, 70% of the agreed half-board price will be charged in any case (or 90% of the agreed price for bed and breakfast, or 100% if only accommodation has been booked). This applies in the event of late arrival, early departure, changes or rebooking of the stay, and no-show, regardless of the reason. The cancellation conditions apply regardless of whether the cancelled rooms are fully or partially re-rented.

Does Golserhof have an environmental certification?

Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC Certification): We are awarded the world’s highest certification for sustainable tourism. Vacation with a clear conscience!

Check-in from 2 pm, check-out until 10.30 am.

Is the South Tyrol Guest Pass included?
Yes, it is included in your stay.

Do I need a car or can I also get by without one?
A car is not necessary. The bus and train system is very well developed. With the Südtirol Guest Pass, worth €65.00 (included for all guests at Golserhof), guests can use all buses and trains throughout South Tyrol free of charge.
In addition, excursions and sightseeing tours with a minibus are offered from Dorf Tirol.

Is there parking available at the hotel?

A garage parking space for 1 car per room (maximum vehicle height 2.30 m) is included free of charge. Additional parking spaces are available on request for €10.00 per day.

How do I get from Merano train station to the hotel?

We reward your contribution to environmentally friendly travel and offer a free transfer from/to Merano train station (for stays of 7 nights or more).
For stays of less than 7 nights, we are happy to arrange a taxi transfer from Merano train station to the hotel (approx. €24.00) upon request.
Please provide us with your exact arrival time and your mobile phone number prior to arrival so that our pick-up service can include you in its schedule in time.

How do I get from Bolzano airport to the hotel?

The tourism association of Dorf Tirol organizes transfers from/to Bolzano airport. You can easily book your airport shuttle here. The price per person and per ride is €10.00 (children up to and including 6 years free of charge) and must be paid directly to the driver in cash.

Is the Golserhof barrier-free?
The hotel is partially accessible. We are happy to advise you individually.

Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes, free of charge throughout the hotel.

Are the rooms air-conditioned?
Yes, individually adjustable.

Are there smoking areas inside and outside the hotel?
In general, smoking is permitted on your room balcony as well as outdoors. However, we kindly ask you to be considerate of other guests, especially your room neighbours. If someone feels disturbed, we thank you for your understanding that we may ask for consideration in such cases.
In addition, our hotel features a stylish smoking lounge as well as designated outdoor smoking areas where smoking is permitted at any time. Smoking is also allowed on our public terrace outside meal times, so you can enjoy a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.

Are there options for special sleeping habits and needs?
If required, we are happy to provide the following free of charge: allergy-friendly pillows and duvets, neck rolls, ergonomic neck pillows, and softer or firmer mattress toppers. Upon request, we can also place one of six different organic herbal pillows in your room (rental fee €5 per pillow). The herbs used for the filling come from the Alpine region and are organically grown.
